Maharaja Ranjit Singh Academy (AFPI Mohali) Entrance Coaching
The Maharaja Ranjit Singh Armed Forces Preparatory Institute (AFPI) in Mohali is a premier institute established by the Government of Punjab in Sector 77, SAS Nagar, to prepare boys from Punjab for commissioning into the Indian Armed Forces through the National Defence Academy (NDA).
At Mohali Defence Academy, we offer highly specialized AFPI entrance coaching to prepare candidates for both the written exam and subsequent interview rounds. AFPI Entrance Admission & Selection Procedure
The selection process for the AFPI Mohali program involves the following key stages:
- Online Application: Eligible candidates submit applications online in November/December.
- Written Entrance Test: A competitive examination conducted in January.
- Interview & Medicals: Top candidates in the written exam merit list are invited for personality interviews and rigorous medical checkups.
- Final Merit List: Successful candidates join the two-year integrated academic and physical training program at the academy starting in April.

Mode of Exam: Offline (Pen and Paper)

Marking Scheme: +4 marks for each correct answer; -1 mark for each wrong answer

Entrance Syllabus
The exam syllabus is aligned with Class 9th and 10th levels across CBSE, ICSE, and PSEB boards:
- Mathematics: Algebra, Geometry, Mensuration, Trigonometry, Statistics & Probability, Number Systems, Ratio & Proportion, Time & Distance, Interest.
- English: Comprehension Passages, Grammar (Spotting Errors, Fill in the Blanks), Vocabulary (Synonyms, Antonyms, Idioms & Phrases), Sentence Reordering (Para Jumbles).
- Social Studies: History, Civics/Polity, Geography, and Basic Economics.
